One should not only flatten that tummy for vanity reasons, the fact is this, belly fat is bad for you. Belly fat causes ugly stuff to happen such as triggering your liver to release fatty acids, which in effect raises your cholesterol.

If you get nothing else from this article just understand that belly fat is bad for you and is worse for you than fat on your thighs or butt. This fat is especially bad for men and can also trigger heart disease.

Basically this fat is stored energy, our bodies naturally want to store fat so as to prevent against starvation and the belly is one of the areas this takes place. In terms of food you need to understand what you are eating and how much calories you take in. Food as such is energy and you need burn more energy than you take in.

When it comes to flattening the tummy we all want the fasted easiest ways of getting rid of the fat. However you must understand that fastest and easiest is not always the best for you. If you understand what causes belly fat then you will do a better job overall of getting rid of it, not just for the present but for good.

There is lots of information on this topic but what you need to do is to take action and keep it simple. One, understand that stress can lead to abdominal fat. Food allergies, bloating and bacteria are also a factor.

So to tackle this problem you need to address your health as a whole. Eating good food is just one factor; you also need to exercise because your goal is to burn the energy as you take it in. Secondly when exercising, do not do the same routines all the time, vary the routines and length of time you do them.

Variety prevents the body from reaching plateaus and getting used to a typical routine, because if this occurs it will start to store energy again for the future.

In conclusion, keep it simple, take action, learn about what you eat and do the right exercises and soon enough you will have that flat tummy.
